I needed a garage door spring replaced. The tech was professional and inspected both doors and complete systems. He made several suggestions including I need to replace one of my openers. I oked him fixing $700 of issues on both doors. After he told me I needed to replace my opener because the shaft was loose and would soon fail. He indicated it could fail within the next week. I ordered a new opener from Lowes and installed it myself. When I took the old opener down I noticed the shaft was not loose. Upon closer inspection I found what I believe to be normal wear and tear. Nothing worse that my other opener. Now I wonder how much of that $700 I needed.

I don't question the quality of work or the service provided by Precision. In fact, I have used the company in the past. I DO have an issue with the "bait and switch" advertising on your website, promoting the $899 special. The garage door pictured in the ad clearly shows a door with windows (Sunray), right next to the $899 price. As I suspected, this is NOT the door that's available for $899 and in fact, the door in the picture is actually double the price ($1800). Very misleading and a classic marketing sham. We haven't made a decision on a door purchase yet but this episode just leaves me with a bad feeling.

The first contact with the person setting up the appointment to the tech David Crowe was truly five star all the way. I called at about 1:30 pm and was told I would have a tech today between 2 and 6pm. David Crowe was the tech who kept me informed when he would be arriving. He called me once and gave me an idea of when he would be here. then called again giving me fifteen minute to arrival. He arrived as promised and was most professional from the moment he arrived till he left. He asked me what was wrong. He told me that he would figure it out. He then spoke to me explaining what needed to be done and began the work right away. He completed the work and made sure I understood what he had done and how to operate the new equipment. He made sure my door opener worked and my car was programmed correctly too. He also showed me how to lube the system once a year and left me a can of lube. Before he left we wanted to make sure I had no questions and was satisfied with everything. Your company was wonderful and will refer to all my friends and will always use your company.

YESTERDAY THE MRS & I CAME HOME ABOUT 3 PM, PULLED INTO THE GARAGE, CLOSED THE OVERHEAD & HEADED INTO THE HOUSE WHEN A RATHER LOUD "THUMP" OCCURRED SOMEWHERE IN THE GARAGE, AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION I SAW THAT THE MAIN "LEFT" SPRING HAD BROKEN. I CALLED PRECISION FROM THE TELE # ON YOUR STICKER FROM LAST YEAR & GOT A NEXT DAY TIME APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SPRING ! WHOMEVER I TALKED TO ON THE PHONE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE & ASSURING, GIVING ME A NEXT DAY (SAT) SERVICE & TIME. SWITCH TO SAT 7/20, RECEIVED AN INTRODUCTORY CALL FROM YOU TECH, DAVID CROWE, INTRODUCING HIMSELF & ASSURING HE WOULD BE THERE SHORTLY !! Chris was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. He replaced a garage door opener that was over 25 years old. I was glad that he explained and demonstrated how all the buttons worked on the device attached to the garage side door entry. This is the second time I've used Precision. I had them replace the springs 2 years ago after a different company did a spring replacement incorrectly, resulting in the spring breaking within a short period of time. I would definitely recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door Service.
