the opener was a Linear opener ..... and although i was hoping that James would be able to replace just the curcuit board, he explained that the opener was so old that the board couldnt be replaced because they arent available any more and that the gears when probably worn, i decided to have him replace the opener and springs. he did an exceptionial job quickly and even adjusted the rails...overall James exceeded my expectations...thank you

Communication after my request for service was excellent. The technician, Mike Vitello called ahead, and arrived slightly early. He was professional, knowledgeable, and honest in estimating our problems with the old garage door. We have an appointment to replace the old garage door with a wind rated reinforced door, as well as a new Liftmaster door opener.

I chgiose Precision based on your Internet AD's and your reviews on Angie's List. Your Tech, Mike W. was very prompt and did a complete inspection of my doors. He recommended that the springs be replaced along with the rollers, and drums. The package he sold me was a reasonable solution and now the door works better than it did when it was first installed in '99. Thanks for the great service.

Repairman spoke with my tenant and refused to repair door, told tenant door needed to be replaced, old springs, cables ect. Springs were replaced approximately 5 years and cables within the past year. Quoted $1300 for replacement, wow. Believe he was trying to pull a fast one. The least he could have done is evaluate the current problem and a estimate to repair. I suggested it was the screw drive carriage but according to my tenant, (a highly respected p.e. lineman) he could have cared less.

All of our technicians are certified and trained, and are very knowledgeable when it comes to repair of existing garage doors. Existing garage doors that have extensive wear and tear can be problematic when repairing, and technicians will always recommend replacement of the door if they feel that the repair cost is too high to justify, and/or if they feel the repair could still leave the door unsafe. We pride ourselves on being able to evaluate the customers need and will always give our customers our best recommendation. Garage doors are the largest opening in a home, and are responsible for protecting the home in storm situations. Any door installed prior to March 15th of 2012 may not meet the Florida Building Code or the code enforced by local municipalities. It is our responsibility to inform the customer if we believe that a new garage door would be a better option then repairing the existing door that may have extensive wear and tear. I first contacted Precision several years ago, I decided to use Presicion because of the great reviews on Angies List. Matt had replace the springs and rollers and made several other repairs.So when I needed a new garage door opener, I called Precision wednesday, and it was installed Thursday. The friendly installer, Matt, did an excellent job and explained each step of the installation. He also explained the maintenance of my whole door and opener system to keep everything in peak operation. I really like having choices and options, and knowing just what I'm buying and how it will be installed. Thank you Matt, and Precision.
