The technician was super nice, communicative, and knowledgeable. 4 stars because I am not sure the price was competitive based on the retail cost of the materials and what I would expect for labor. I used Precision Garage Door Service of Clearwater after my garage door started stopping and starting and eventually over-traveling into the motor housing. The technician took time to actually diagnose the problem instead of jumping straight to replacement. He found worn springs that were no longer doing their job, seized rollers and bearings, pulley issues, and drywall dust from prior work that had gotten into the tracks and motor. Importantly, he did not recommend replacing the garage door itself, even though it’s old, and explained hurricane considerations as long-term context rather than a sales push. I’ll be honest, the price initially felt high, and even a neighbor thought so. But when you don’t have a real frame of reference for garage door work, it’s hard to know what’s reasonable. What mattered to me was that when I said the original scope was more than I wanted to spend, he listened and adjusted the plan instead of pushing. The final work included replacing both springs, rollers, pulleys and cables, cleaning debris out of the tracks and motor, rebalancing the door, resetting force and travel limits, and installing a basic opener appropriate for how I actually use the garage. Total was about $1,600. Not the cheapest option, but thorough, well-explained, and respectful. I felt informed, not pressured, and comfortable having the technician in my home.

Both techs did a great job replacing everything except the motor, chain and bar assy, safety eye lights. They used everything from the old door. Didn't know that. Every truck needs a broom and dust pan and a blower. Also the truck in the driveway leaked gas and oil. The initial measurements were incorrect and they had to wait for additional parts. Almond color Door was the perfect match to the house trim. Thanks for my beautiful door

The install went smoothly and the installer was polite and professional. The door looks good and seems very sturdy and safe. just a tip for the sales person that comes for estimate; explain the different types of systems, slide bolt vs cable system. That would have helped if given a choice.

Well, I had some difficulty with defective panels that may have been more cosmetic than anything,Precision Garage Doors stood by to replace them until they were right. It took several times to get it right, but there was never a kickback from them. They just ordered replacement panels to make it right. Took a little longer to get it right, but it is fully correct and I’m very happy with my garage door. Several different technicians have come. Every one of them has been polite, Explained what they were doing, and on time always.

My garage door spring is about to go and the tension is not as strong as it should be so my garage door jerks when opening a closed door, called and they were out the same day and adjusted the closing, they left after explaining what is needed, they sent me an email with a list of what they would replace and price so I can think it over. Probably will have it done a little later and the service man was kind and accommodating.

Customer service representative that I spoke to on the phone was very professional and got me an appointment for the same day. Within an hour the technician Cheney arrived and fixed the springs on our garage door. All work performed was great. I would have rated a 5 but my spring that was replaced was just over a year old and quite honestly I wasn’t really happy with that. Especially for what they cost. I would have thought that the spring would have lasted longer. But, either way we decided to go with two springs and got the 5 year warranty. Hopefully they will make it longer than that. Thanks for having great employees who really take care of their customers. Both the people I dealt with today were amazing. They both are 5 star rating in my book. All the work was completed promptly and Josh was excellent to deal with. When I called looking for a quote for a new motor and I told the lady what type of motor I currently had she quoted me and installed price. Good service and tech was able to get part of the issue resolved thru warranty. But, the other issue required a new garage door opener. Precision's price was 4 to 7 times the cost of a quality brand from a big box store. He advised the products there arent as good as what Precision sells, but the price and cost of installation would have allowed for a new unit regularly. It pays to shop around. However, very happy with the service.

Precision installed a hurricane rated garage door. We were generally pleased with the company and the product. However, there were two installation issues. The bottom wall brackets supporting the tracks were mounted in the wrong location. More importantly, the tech neglected to check the auto-reversing safety features. These items led to the failure of the city inspection. Precision returned and corrected the problems and a second inspection passed.
