I bought a new home 3.5 years ago and it had precision put in the garage door. Had several issues with it including the cable being thrown off. When hurricane Milton hit lost power so I needed to get to my generator so I used the manual release. went to put it down and the cable came off. called precision and they sent out a tech and was quoted 865 bucks. now mind you I put the cable back. spoke with their district manager John basically told me couldn't do it for free but he would do it for 400. I called another door company their tech came out worked on the cable for 15 minutes lubed the rollers and tried it several times to be sure no issues. 85 bucks. so Carlos you have a very deceiving scam you run on old people trying to get 10x the actual work it needs. shame on you! thank God for this other HONEST small company. you want a review well I'd give ya 0 or less and ill never never let you or your company work on anything ever again. I'll also tell everyone how you tried to pad the bill and even your district manager tried to get me for 400!!!

the repair price I was quoted was absolutely embarrassing. I have used Precision in prior years for a new door and repairs but I can't see that continuing into the future. If your business policy is screw the customer and get as much money out of them as you can, I'll find someone else.

My garage door needed one tension cable either replaced or rewound. Technician was excellent and was on site a little less than an hour. The service call was $189.95 -expensive but not unreasonable. I was then charged $ 255.00 for two 7 foot cables that retail for around $25.00.-- This is not only unreasonable but needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau to warn consumers. To add insult to the situation they added another $20 for fuel for the service vehicle. I'm sure this won't show up on their web site but at least I gave it a try.

Poor service. Rude technician. Expensive for not even 10 minutes of service. Waited for him longer than he was here. Will not ever call precision again. This was our second time and last.

I supplied you with information regarding my project and I don't know whether you took the time to read it or not I don't think you did as the proposal you sent me reflects that.

Only submitted this review because we got an e-mail requesting it... We requested a quote to have a broken spring repaired on our seven year old home. We asked several folks in our neighborhood with similar home models how much they paid for the same repair. The answers varied from $200 - $470. After receiving other quotes, Precisions quote came in at over $1,800! That's almost four times the price of the next highest quote that we received ($460). Further, the technician insisted on rebuilding our entire garage door system because Precision doesn't Wayne Dalton parts. Huge waste of our time and Precision's gas to drive out. Not only that, the technician insisted that we lift our 230lbs garage door so that he wouldn't need to pass through the house. Mind you, I'm a disabled-veteran. Highly-unprofessional - avoid! Our large neighborhood community group got a pretty good laugh out of the quote. Suppose I should have the VA bill Precision for my next chiropractors appointment.

I had called to arrange for an estimate to have a garage door opener install. A technician arrived and provided me with an estimate that had 2 choices with prices. Me then ask me which one would I like to have done. I said I wasn't sure at the moment can you email me the estimate since it was on his iPad. He then attempted to coerce me to have the job done immediately. I told him I was getting estimates and would review them and make my choice. You still tried to talk me into doing it now and then proceeded to say that there would be a $75 charge for the estimate. When I spoke to their office personnel no mention was ever made that there would be a charged to come out to do an estimate. I had two other estimates free of charge and both were substantially cheaper for the same work. The technician then said he had to call his boss and tell him I refuse to pay the $75. He then told me that it would be tacked on if I took the job. He then sent me the email and left. I then looked up their company and noticed that they do have a service fee of $29.99 and a fuel charge of $20 when they come out for a service call if they do no work. That total was $49.95 not $75. I firmly believe that your technician was upset that he went out of his way to do an estimate and wasn't able to do the work so he wasted his time. My understanding that that's part of the job is to give free estimates. All companies do but apparently your company does not. Do not have them come out to do an estimate as they will try to coerce you to have it done right away. Their price was $3,000 and the other two quotes were for under $2,000 for the same work.

The owner, Jim Rapp, responded really quickly to my comments about the poor experience I received. He insisted on sending out his supervisor of technicians, Bob Blanchette, along with Chris the technician that was out the first time to install the garage door opener at no charge. At first I was very reluctant but he insisted and it actually took me a bit to relent as I do not and was not looking to get something for nothing. I offered to at least pay half the cost which they still insisted they will not take. I actually had a lengthy conversation with Jim and then Bob let them know I really did not want the job for free but they continuously refused and said no. I happen to own a small landscaping business in Spring Hill and have gone on numerous estimates over the past 20 years and know how to handle sometimes difficult situations with a disgruntled customer so I will just simply say Jim and his company are extremely dedicated to making sure everyone of their customers are completely satisfied and will do everything and anything to uphold the reputation of their company. I'm extremely appreciative that they installed a $4,000 state-of-the-art top of the line garage door opening system replacing numerous 30 plus year old parts and were extremely professional and efficient in doing the work. Thanks again Jim and Chris and accept my apology for my previous comments about my experience.

Was quoted one price on phone and when tech arrived it was 350 more for same products. I called several other companies and was given MUCH cheaper quotes. My advice is shop around and take your time contractors are price gouging right now and THIS IS ONE OF THEM. Poor business ethics, very poor.

I needed a garage door spring replaced. The tech was professional and inspected both doors and complete systems. He made several suggestions including I need to replace one of my openers. I oked him fixing $700 of issues on both doors. After he told me I needed to replace my opener because the shaft was loose and would soon fail. He indicated it could fail within the next week. I ordered a new opener from Lowes and installed it myself. When I took the old opener down I noticed the shaft was not loose. Upon closer inspection I found what I believe to be normal wear and tear. Nothing worse that my other opener. Now I wonder how much of that $700 I needed.

You service man was polite and helpful, giving us new remotes/ keypads; however, after he left, the keypads worked only after many presses and one stopped completely: we need for him to visit us again and fix this problem. Roy Sluzis 11712 Alderwood Drive, New Port Richey 34654.

The service tech came out and I could tell that he was just trying to sell and not fix. He did not even look at anything, he told me he could not even open the door. He quoted me over $800. Said the spring was broke and the motor was burnt out. He also said for twice as much he would be better material and longer warranty. He was so nervous talking to me. I told him to give me quotes and had him leave. I then called another company and they came out, Opened my door, replaced the sring and said the motor was just fine. All fixed for under $350. I do not recommend this place - pure con job!

I was amazed to see the pricing for a broken spring up to $900. The salesman/technician was very courteous I have no problem with him. The marketing however was a bad experience my soccer and experience and pricing with this company. I previously refused to purchase a new garage door from them because of over pricing.

The experience started off well with professionals doing a good job with replacing our garage door. They even included the insulation for free after some confusion over the original order. I have now gone through yet another failed attempt with a county inspection because the permitting company's (Gulf Coast Permitting) inability to supply the required documentation to complete the job. Precision Garage needs to find a different company to do take care of the permitting process. This has now been going on for 5 months and I have wasted several precious vacation days because of it.

Appointment was made and on time. Technician was polite. Seemed to have no idea what the problem was initially. Asked lots of questions as to wether I'd spoken to other repair companies. Came back after investigating and said it was a broken spring. I couldn't believe I'd never noticed it split in two before, much less a trained technician! Said it was $540 for springs that work and $240 plus tax for another part I needed. Presented it in a trained sales technique I should never have fallen for. I thought it was high, but didn't know and wanted to get it done so said yes. I looked up what it really should have cost ( $200-$300) I paid $760 after a 'coupon' he applied when I said I was paying way too much. I was totally ripped off by your company!....More fool me, but I will definitely not use you again or recommend you.....unless the extremely expensive springs under a 5 yr warranty break?

All I needed was to have the opener repaired. The technician (who was a very pleasant fellow) came up with a price of just under $1,200.00 because he felt there was other items I needed, but I did not want them. So, I told him I was not going to do any repairs. Then he decided he could replace the "mother board" for $200 plus labor and I still said no. I paid the $49.95 service call and went online and found the "mother board" for $63.00 from the factory! Nice try, but no cigar.

All I needed was to have the chain restrung to operate the door. Instead, the tech sought to convince me to replace ervery moving part of the system at a cost of several thousand dolloars. I only agreed to replace the main spring and bearings which, even though he agreed he would show me the worn bgearings, he never did. This suggests they did not need replacing, and I now doubt the spring did, either. After receiving an invoice of nearly $900, I regret having agreed to any service. In hindsight believe I was scammed, and will never patronize your company again. The single star is due to the fact the tech showed up on short notice when the dispatcher said he would.

We had called for service on our garage door as there was something wrong with the electrical circuit or the door safety sensor that only allowed us to close the door from the main button and not the remotes. The technician that came told us we needed new springs, new rollers and a new circuit board-essentially a whole new system to the tune of $1600!!! Fortunately, we thanked him for his estimate and told him we would call back if we were interested in his services. He didn't even do a tune up on the system as he said it was not possible! Our next door neighbor saw that the technician was there and came over after he left . He identified the problem and fixed the sensor within minutes to allow for the door to work again properly!!! Unfortunately we can NOT recommend this company!

Way too expensive!!! Charged $90.00 for a $5.00 part and $60.00 for a $10.00 part. The tech was here at the house for about 35 minutes and ten of that was talking with me. Total price gouging. This is my second time using them and my last.

New Years Day our garage door broke and needed quick repairs. Called Precision and they did do a great job on getting a technician out. We asked for a quote first. After 15 minutes were given an astronomical figure to fix the door. Add said no extra charge for holidays. Technician said there was no extra charge for coming out that day. Then added to the extreme high cost that he could not fix the garage door opener because it was too damaged. Needed a new one. We told him to hold off. Then we got hit with a $49.95 charge for coming out for an estimate ( which they did later refund). We immediately searched out their competitors for other estimates. Next person that came out gave us a quote that was over $400 less, plus he said our garage door was not damaged and hooked us up for free. Precision had a special on their website saying that a new double garage door would cost $800. That’s not what our technician quoted. Try 800 x 3 !! We felt misled and the attempt of being taken advantage of. I would not recommend Precision for people who are under a budget. If you’re rich, go ahead. I don’t know the quality of their work so I can’t comment on that.

Very disappointed from the company! They came after the Milton hurricane to fix the garage door. We had power outage for few hour and after the power was back the door was only opening half way and then closing again. The service person made evaluation and start quoting me from 1700$ to replace the motor and some other parts! After my shock from the price he start quoting lower like 1200$ and then asking me how much I am willing to pay!!!!!! He connected me with his manager and their best offer was 900$ for a opener change only!!!! I decline the quote and the technician never bring back the garage door the way he found it!!!! I call again to ask them to come back, they gave me appointment after a month in witch they never showed up!!!!! STAY AWAY from them! Its a shame to take advantage of people in that way especially after a hurricane!!! I had my door repaired with 400$ from another company!
